Every project begins with observation. Before anything is drawn, the place is read: its climate, its materials, its history, the way it is already being used.

That reading becomes research. Precedent, context, and material study shape the early direction of a project long before a concept exists.
DIRECTION
Direction follows research. Spatial and creative decisions are made in response to what the place and the brief actually require, not in advance of it.

When a project moves toward a physical outcome, NURU brings in the collaborators the work requires and carries the direction through with them.

NURU develops the vision and direction for projects, bringing together the people and expertise needed to take an idea into the physical world. Where a project requires regulated professional services, we collaborate with qualified architects, engineers, planners and other specialists as part of the project team.
